People who suffer from mental health disorders cope in many different ways. One of these ways is through the use of arts. Just like with my case, I took up a painting class when I was diagnosed with depression a few years back. I tried to see a therapist, but it did not work well for me. I found it hard to open up and I was not comfortable with the idea of speaking out my thoughts. That is when the use of arts was recommended to me and it sure did work. It was similar to how therapy works except for this coping method, I was using arts to express my thoughts and feelings that I have a hard time expressing verbally.
